About

About the blog.

Mark It Read is where I house my book reviews and posts about other various topics related to reading and literature. My favorite genres are non-fiction of all sorts (but particularly history), literary and postmodern fiction, 18th + 19th century classics, and the occasional sports memoir. I tend to have a dry sense of humor in “real life”, so if that bleeds through into my book reviews, well, so be it. Books are rated on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the best book ever. I will liberally use “-and-a-half”.

About the reader.

My name is Cindie, I’m a 26 year old higher education professional and I live and work in New York City. Besides reading, I’m a big sports fan and I love the Mets, NY Giants, NY Rangers and the Colorado Avalanche (yeah, the last one is a wild card, I know). I also love discovering interesting craft beers, scrapbooking, cooking vegetarian meals, and exploring my gorgeous borough of Brooklyn.

  1. Great blog. I nominated you for a Liebster Award! It’s an award to help bloggers with less than 200 followers get discovered. If you are up to it, here is a small list of things to do. It has taken me forever to get this done.

    1. Post 11 facts about yourself
    2. Answer 11 questions that I came up with (link to questions below)
    3. Nominate 11 blogs that have less than 200 followers and ask then 11 questions.

For more info visit my blog. Thanks for the click. http://glennstake.wordpress.com/2013/07/04/liebster-award-nomination/
